Location: London
Job Description:

£65,000 – £70,000 – London – Hybrid – 2 days a week in the office

The scale of the contracts you’ve negotiated matters as much as the categories you’ve managed.

I’m partnering with an international business looking for a commercially strong procurement professional to take ownership of complex, high-value supplier agreements across a broad indirect portfolio. This is an opportunity to influence significant sourcing decisions and stay involved beyond contract award, ensuring suppliers deliver against their commitments.

You’ll work closely with operational teams, Finance and Legal, bringing structure to varied requirements and negotiating agreements that balance cost, service and risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement across multiple indirect categories, from defining requirements and assessing the market through to negotiation and contract award.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for large, complex service contracts, identifying opportunities to improve commercial terms and overall value.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships through clear performance measures, regular reviews and effective management of contractual changes.
  • Work with stakeholders across different functions and locations to align requirements, challenge demand and consolidate spend where appropriate.
  • Improve procurement processes and commercial controls, incorporating supplier risk and sustainability into sourcing decisions.

Key Skills:

  • Broad indirect procurement experience, with the ability to move confidently between categories and understand unfamiliar business requirements.
  • A track record of personally negotiating large, complex individual contracts, with clear evidence of the commercial outcomes achieved.
  • Strong contract and supplier management skills, including experience handling service obligations, variations and performance issues.
  • Confident stakeholder management, with the judgement to challenge constructively and secure support across operational and senior teams.
  • A practical, analytical approach and the ability to bring clarity to changing requirements; international or multi-site experience would be advantageous.

This would suit someone who enjoys variety, meaningful commercial responsibility and seeing their sourcing decisions translate into operational results.
