Interim Employment Counsel | 6-Month Contract | London

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its legal team on an initial 6-month contract.

Working closely with HR, Employee Relations and senior business stakeholders, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused employment law advice across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters within a complex, fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on day-to-day UK employment law issues
• Supporting employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management processes
• Managing employment litigation and tribunal claims
• Advising on restructures, redundancies and organisational change projects
• Supporting senior HR and business stakeholders on strategic workforce matters
• Reviewing and drafting employment documentation, policies and procedures
• Working closely with international colleagues on cross-border employment issues where required

Candidate Profile:

• UK-qualified Employment Lawyer with approximately at least 4-10+ years’ PQE
• Strong employment law experience gained in private practice, in-house or a combination of both
• Experience advising large corporate organisations or financial institutions is advantageous
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Able to operate effectively in a high-performing and fast-moving environment
