Global Category Manager EMS – Business Line Analytical

Overview

Global Category Manager for the EMS/PCBA category within ABB’s Analytical Business Line. You will shape and execute a global sourcing strategy, balance cost, quality, and sustainability, and collaborate across factories and regions to build a resilient supply base. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery to drive tangible savings and supplier performance. This position offers global visibility and a tangible impact on ABB’s manufacturing footprint and cost base. You will lead cross-functional execution and supplier negotiations to meet financial targets and strategic goals.

• competitive base salary range $119,000–$221,000 (US)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the EMS/PCBA category strategy with supplier footprint and risk mitigation
• Lead sourcing using the CIPS process to ensure capable and scalable supply base
• Negotiate supplier agreements, renew price lists, and manage terms
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs
• Identify, qualify, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
• Provide ongoing contract management and supplier oversight
• Ensure alignment across stakeholders and achieve category sourcing performance targets

Key requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management
• Track record of building and executing global strategies in EMS/PCBA or electronics manufacturing
• Strong stakeholder management across factories, regions, and leadership
• Solid negotiation and supplier relationship management experience
• Data-driven approach to analysis and reporting
