Overview

In this role you own the digital investment portfolio for a Defence business unit and act as a strategic technology partner. You will shape transformation programs, align funding with priorities, and drive value realisation across senior Defence stakeholders and delivery teams. You’ll manage governance, sequencing, and benefits, ensuring investments deliver measurable outcomes. Responsibilities

• Own and shape a complex digital transformation portfolio
• Prioritise competing investment demands balancing capacity, risk and value
• Partner with senior Defence and operational leaders
• Challenge assumptions and influence investment decisions
• Lead portfolio governance, benefits realisation and strategic roadmap development
• Manage complex stakeholder environments, suppliers and delivery partners
• Ensure digital investment delivers measurable business and operational value

Key requirements

• Experience shaping and governing portfolios
• Strong executive stakeholder management capability
• Commercial judgement and outcome-focused decision making
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
• Experience balancing competing priorities in complex environments
• Previous Defence, Government or secure-environment experience
• Current or previously held SC/DV clearance highly desirable
