BIM Manager – Data Centres

Overview

In this role you will lead the PMC BIM function on a major data centre project, ensuring practical, controlled BIM delivery across design to handover. You’ll align client requirements with designers, vendors, and contractors, driving governance, data quality, and seamless handover. You’ll work within an integrated PMC team to transform digital delivery into reliable, decision-ready outcomes that support ambitious data centre programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM delivery for the PMC from design mobilisation through construction, close-out and handover
• Onboard architects, engineers, vendors and specialist package contractors to BIM processes and common data environment
• Lead BIM kick-off sessions and ensure teams understand obligations
• Maintain and develop the BIM Execution Plan, standards, model matrix and information workflows
• Ensure compliance with client BIM requirements including timely submission of models and drawings
• Conduct model quality-control and health reviews and assign corrective actions
• Establish clash-detection and multidisciplinary coordination processes
• Administer the CDE including permissions, RFIs, review workflows and submissions
• Monitor BIM milestones such as model interfaces, data population and freeze dates
• Chair or coordinate weekly BIM meetings and escalate risks through PMC governance
• Maintain BIM dashboards and portfolio reporting for compliance and delivery risk
• Coordinate with the BIM Field Engineer to reflect site verifications in models and close-out
• Lead BIM close-out activities including redline, as-built review and packaging of deliverables
• Deliver quick mobilization of delivery partners and visible model quality and data compliance
• Provide trusted dashboard information on digital delivery performance to the client

Key requirements

• Significant BIM management or digital delivery experience on complex construction programmes
• Experience with PMC, client, main contractor, design consultant and specialist supply chain in multi-party delivery
• Proven experience leading BIM mobilisation, coordination, assurance, reporting and handover
• Strong knowledge of information management principles and standards, including ISO 19650
• Experience managing a common data environment and model review workflows
• Relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in construction, engineering, architecture, BIM or digital delivery
• Professional accreditation or recognised BIM/information management certification desirable
