International Credit Officer (Credit Analyst)

Overview

In this role you assess and approve credit proposals for a London-based banking group, supporting risk-aware growth. You will work with a close-knit team to analyse financials across corporate, CRE, and FI sectors, maintaining credit limits and producing essential risk reporting. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an agile setting, with opportunities to influence credit decisions and risk management. This is a hands-on role in a supportive SME banking environment with growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial and credit analysis on diverse proposals and provide recommendations
• Maintain and monitor global credit limits and country risk exposures with robust reporting and data analysis
• Prepare portfolio MIS/reports and watchlist analyses to support strategic credit decisions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an agile, team-oriented setting
• Provide ad hoc support to Head of International Credit as needed

Key requirements

• Graduate with 4+ years’ credit analysis experience within a financial institution
• Strong numerical abilities with attention to detail and solid financial modeling/analysis
• Ability to evaluate cross-border risk
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with experience using financial databases
• Comfortable working under pressure in a small, high-performing team
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to contribute to growth and risk strategies
