Senior Quality Assurance Analyst – Remote/Hybrid (Canada)

Overview

In this role, you will plan and execute comprehensive test suites across multiple products in an Agile environment, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality goals. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing to verify applications meet business and technical requirements and resolve issues
• Design and implement test strategies and frameworks for new apps, enhancements, and integrations
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, API, mobile, cross-browser, and usability testing
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria
• Lead the design of automated test suites and assist in implementing them
• Work with DevOps to investigate, document, and resolve defects and environment issues
• Use SQL to validate data integrity and backend processes
• Analyze test results and logs to identify root causes and validate fixes
• Produce documentation and reports for testing activities, including plans, results, and metrics
• Drive continuous improvement in testing tools, automation, and processes
• Mentor and support junior QA team members and share best practices

Key requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of professional software testing experience, including frontend and backend validation
• Proven QA design, development, and implementation of test strategies across multiple projects
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA best practices
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with debugging skills
• SQL and relational database knowledge for backend validation
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present risks and results
• Strong time management, ownership, and self-motivation in fast-paced environments
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure traceability
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, APIs, and integrations
• Experience writing or maintaining automated test scripts (UI or API)
