Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer

Overview

In this role you support planned and reactive maintenance within a facilities management contract, focusing on safe, compliant service delivery and contractor oversight. You will respond to callouts, manage on-site safety, and ensure equipment and areas meet company standards. You’ll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to keep critical systems running and servicing up to date. Responsibilities

• Handle PPM, proactive and reactive works within agreed timeframes to meet customer expectations
• Provide callout responses per rota to clients
• Oversee contractor performance and workmanship on-site to ensure standards are met
• Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to company standards
• Evaluate maintenance/service quality for equipment under contract and ensure proper servicing

Key requirements

• Full clean driving licence
• ECS/CSCS card essential
• Gas qualifications: CODNC01 or Core Commercial Qualification or valid Gas Safe Registration and card
• COCN1 (Core Commercial Gas Safety)
• CIGA1 (Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances)
• CORT1 (Commercial Overhead Radiant Tube & Plaque Heaters)
• ICPN1 (Installation of Commercial Pipework)
• TPCP1 (Testing & Purging of Commercial Pipework)
• TPCP1A (Testing & Purging of Low-Pressure Commercial Pipework)

• Gas Safe Registration and card
• Core Commercial Gas Safety qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1)
• Commercial Pipework installation and testing (ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A)
• Contractor management
