Sales Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the showroom sales team for Newcastle Nissan & Changan, driving customer service excellence and high-quality transactional sales. You will oversee daily showroom operations, vehicle valuations, and marketing-ready presentation, working closely with the buying and prep teams. You will coach and motivate staff, set targets and KPI standards, and ensure FCA compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Manage the full sales process from web inquiry to showroom
• Lead and develop staff through performance reviews and training
• Set department targets and brand KPI alignment
• Oversee vehicle purchasing and up-to-date stock pricing
• Ensure FCA compliance within the Sales Department
• Own customer satisfaction metrics and continuous improvement
• Coordinate showroom operations including valuations, prep, imaging, and presentation
• Collaborate with divisional buyer, prep technicians, detailers, and photography team to meet marketing standards

Key requirements

• Experience in a premium automotive environment with transactional sales and service excellence
• Proven track record of leading a motivated sales team
• Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and addressing shortfalls
• Understanding of finance and insurance product regulations
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
• Full UK driving licence
