Senior Business Analyst – Life and Pensions

Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead end-to-end analysis for Life & Pensions change initiatives within SS&C’s EMEA delivery practice. You’ll facilitate discovery, define scope, and ensure traceable, high-quality requirements that drive regulatory and client outcomes. You’ll collaborate with clients, product teams, and delivery leads to shape solutions and enable successful implementations. This role offers impact across onboarding, transformation programs, and operational excellence with opportunities to grow your BA practice. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for Life & Pensions initiatives, owning requirements quality and traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead discovery and due diligence to define scope and desired business outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders
• Elicit, document, and validate detailed requirements and user stories with clear traceability to objectives
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to articulate business needs and solution approaches
• Act as interface between clients, operations, product teams, architects, and delivery leads, managing cross-functional dependencies
• Identify operational, customer, and regulatory impacts and support readiness activities for smooth implementation
• Produce deliverables such as process maps, current/future state models, and use cases aligned to timelines and governance
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to evolving the BA Practice through knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• Senior Business Analyst with independent lead experience in complex change
• Strong knowledge of Life & Pensions policy administration and servicing
• Experience across related L&P areas (e.g., Term Insurance, Group Life, Endowments) is beneficial
• Proficiency in BA methodologies across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Confident facilitator and communicator capable of leading workshops and influencing decisions
• Self-starter with strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities in fast-paced environments
