Investments Business Partnering Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will join the Investments Finance team in Edinburgh to support forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis that informs key business decisions. You will partner with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to provide clear management information and drive performance insights. The position offers progression toward a Finance Business Partner career and exposure to senior leaders. You will work in a collaborative finance environment, leveraging data to enable smarter investments and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly forecasting and annual planning for ~1,900 FTEs with accurate workforce forecasts
• Prepare monthly financial reporting for the Investments Executive with insightful commentary
• Collaborate on cross-finance projects to improve processes, reporting and efficiency
• Provide analysis and commercial insight on cost drivers and indirect allocations
• Develop management information including CEO and regional reporting and Power BI dashboards
• Strengthen data visualization and Power BI capability across Finance and Investments

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong accounting, financial analysis and reporting capability
• Analytical and curious mindset for understanding complex cost drivers and performance
• Well organized with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience within asset management or the wider financial services sector
• Collaborative approach and ability to build stakeholder relationships across Finance and the wider business
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and translate insights into practical recommendations
