Inventory Control & Quality Assurance Operations Manager

Overview

In this ICQA Operations Manager role, you own inventory control and quality assurance within Amazon’s fulfilment centers. You will lead a team across ICQA functions, driving safety, accuracy, and process discipline while supporting rapid growth. You’ll analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement action plans to reduce incidents, partnering with Loss Prevention and operations leadership. Your work reinforces customer obsession by ensuring reliable inventory integrity and scalable operations. This is a hands-on, impact-driven leadership position in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs and ensure a safe work environment for Associates
• Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts per network count strategies, ensuring SOX compliance and consistency
• Measure quality and inventory integrity; provide proactive feedback to operations management
• Review customer complaints and defect data; develop action plans to reduce future incidents
• Identify root causes of inventory deviation via cause-and-effect analysis
• Participate in and lead network-wide fulfillment and operations-focused quality initiatives
• Strategic planning and forecasting; assign and direct work
• Lead and supervise a team of area managers and hourly associates in ICQA
• Manage Area Managers in ICQA functions and drive team performance
• Drive process improvements and maintain pace with rapid growth while reducing turnover

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Experience in auditing, risk management, compliance, program management, or quality management systems
• Previous supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment with QA processes
• Strong commitment to employee development and team motivation
• Proven ability to influence peers and stakeholders across levels
• Knowledge of supply chain management, SOX compliance, and inventory control systems
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software
