Commercial Property Senior Associate / Director | Glasgow | Succession Planning
An opportunity to take on established client relationships, work alongside an exceptionally experienced Partner and play a key role in the future of a respected Scottish legal practice.
The Opportunity
Oculus Legal Group is delighted to be advising a well-regarded Scottish law firm on a senior Commercial Property appointment in Glasgow, as part of its longer-term succession planning.
For an experienced commercial property lawyer considering their next career move, this presents an opportunity to take on an established client base and build on longstanding relationships, supported by the knowledge and experience of a highly regarded Partner.
Rather than having to develop a following from the ground up, you will have the opportunity to step into an established practice, develop existing client relationships and take on greater responsibility over time. It is a role with genuine longer-term potential for someone looking to increase their influence, develop their career and play a meaningful part in the continued success of the practice.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, development and investment transactions, while taking an active role in the ongoing management and development of the client base.
Alongside delivering high-quality legal advice, you will:
- Develop and assume responsibility for established client relationships as part of the firm’s succession planning.
- Work closely with an experienced Partner, benefiting from their expertise and insight while preparing to take on a greater role within the practice.
- Maintain and strengthen existing client connections, ensuring continuity of service and long-term relationships.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing business and build further connections across the market.
- Contribute to the wider team’s development and the continued success of the practice.
About You
We are keen to speak with a Scottish-qualified Commercial Property Solicitor, ideally with 4+ years’ PQE, who is looking for a role offering genuine longer-term career potential.
You will have strong technical experience across commercial property, the confidence to manage important client relationships and the commercial awareness to develop those relationships over time.
You may already be operating at Senior Associate or Director level, or be a Solicitor with a strong early career foundation in Commercial Property looking for a clearer route towards greater responsibility. Most importantly, you will be interested in taking ownership of an established client base and building on the foundations already in place.
