Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Chartered Psychologist to work across specialist residential services in Preston and Bolton, North West England.
Role snapshot:
The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and adults with complex needs, including trauma, attachment difficulties, autism and challenging behaviours.
You will manage a small caseload, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop individualised care plans, provide psychological consultation and support residential staff.
Contract type – Permanent
Hours – Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Salary – £49k-£58.5k per annum
Location – Preston and Bolton, North West
Experience required:
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and/or BPS Chartered status.
- Experience supporting individuals with trauma, attachment difficulties, autism or complex needs.
- Experience delivering psychological assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of psychological approaches such as CBT, DBT or EMDR.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and providing professional consultation.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and clinical risk management.
