Store Manager

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Store & Petrol Station Managerto lead a busy convenience store and forecourt operation based in Cookstown

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail manager to take ownership of store performance, drive sales and profitability, develop a high-performing team and deliver exceptional retail and fresh food standards.

With ambitious growth plans, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for store, forecourt, fresh food and off-licence sales, profitability and operational performance.
• Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, product ranging and customer service.
• Lead and develop the fresh food, hot food and in-house production operation, ensuring quality, availability and excellent presentation.
• Manage stock control, manual ordering, margins and waste reduction.
• Maintain exceptional standards of store presentation, cleanliness, food safety and compliance.
• Recruit, motivate and develop a team of 3035 employees, including an Assistant Manager and Supervisors.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, labour costs, cash handling and stock losses.
• Work closely with the owners to identify commercial opportunities and support business growth.

Essential Criteria

• Proven management experience within convenience retail, ideally in a forecourt or busy roadside environment.
• Essential experience managing a substantial fresh food, hot food or food-to-go operation.
• Demonstrable track record of driving sales, profitability and commercial performance.
• Experience of food production planning, stock control, manual ordering, waste management and margin control.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and manage a team.
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
• Commercially aware, hands-on and passionate about delivering outstanding retail standards.
• Flexibility to work across the trading week, including weekends.
• Experience of off-licence management, store development or refurbishment would be advantageous.
