We’re seeking an experienced Transformation Project Manager to lead a significant asset and infrastructure transformation programme for a major UK infrastructure organisation.
This is a high-profile project focused on creating a comprehensive inventory and asset baseline across a large, geographically dispersed estate. Working closely with the Transformation Lead and senior stakeholders, you will drive the planning, coordination and delivery of a project that will establish a clear understanding of assets, equipment and infrastructure across the organisation’s portfolio.
This role would suit an accomplished Project Manager who has delivered complex asset, infrastructure, operational or transformation projects and is comfortable working across multiple business functions to bring structure, governance and momentum to large-scale initiatives.
The role has a 3 day hybrid working policy each week in the office.
The Opportunity
As Transformation Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a business-critical programme. You’ll work with operational teams, technical specialists and senior leaders to develop a comprehensive inventory of assets and equipment, ensuring accurate data capture, governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll play a key role in translating strategic objectives into practical delivery plans, managing dependencies, mitigating risks and ensuring successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a complex transformation programme from mobilisation through to implementation and handover.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, governance structures and reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage project budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
- Provide clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Support business readiness and adoption activities to ensure lasting operational benefits.
- Track project outcomes and benefits, ensuring successful transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Drive continuous improvement and share lessons learned throughout the programme.
About You
We’re looking for a delivery-focused Project Manager with a track record of successfully managing transformation or business improvement initiatives within complex organisations.
You’ll have:
- Significant experience managing large-scale transformation, change or operational improvement projects.
- Experience working within infrastructure, utilities, transport, energy, property, construction, engineering or other asset-intensive environments.
- Demonstrable experience creating or managing asset inventories, asset management programmes, infrastructure audits or estate-related projects.
- Strong project governance, planning, risk management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle from initiation through to delivery and closure.
- The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivery.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams within a matrix environment.
- Asset management, infrastructure surveying or estate transformation programmes.
- Data, systems, operational or process transformation initiatives.
- Working with third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Experience within regulated or operationally complex organisations.
