Senior Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist

Overview

As a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist, you contribute to our Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation practice across multiple Ontario offices. You will lead ESA and remediation projects, guide project teams, and manage client deliverables, budgets, and schedules. You’ll collaborate with cross-Canada environmental teams to pursue new opportunities and deliver impactful solutions. This role offers meaningful work in protecting communities and the environment while shaping project success at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESA and remediation projects from proposal to completion, coordinating multi-disciplinary work
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior, intermediate, and senior staff
• Oversee budgets and timelines and maintain client-facing communications on progress
• Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and project lifecycle procedures
• Author/review technical reports and prepare client presentations with findings and recommendations
• Develop new opportunities with clients and internal staff and translate technical work into actionable plans
• Demonstrate application of established practices, standards, and guidelines
• Apply technical and business knowledge to develop creative, economical remediation solutions

Key requirements

• Proven track record of leading projects in federal and/or infrastructure sectors
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19 and Canadian federal guidelines
• Strong client management aptitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork/mentoring skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
• Recognized high technical skill and problem-solving ability across environments
• Experience applying remediation methodologies to soil and groundwater
