Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – Quality and Patient Safety

Our client, a leading 39-bed private hospital in Kildare, is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – Quality and Patient Safety to join its leadership team. This pivotal role will lead the hospitals quality, patient safety, risk management and continuous improvement agenda.

The successful candidate will drive compliance with healthcare standards, oversee quality and risk frameworks, support accreditation activities, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the hospitals Quality Management System.
• Manage risk identification, incident investigations, and organisational risk registers.
• Drive patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Lead accreditation preparation and ongoing compliance activities.
• Analyse quality and safety data, producing reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Deliver staff training in quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety.
• Support governance, audit, and service development programmes.

Requirements

• NMBI registered nurse (RGN) with Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare quality, risk, compliance
• Essential: Proven experience supporting and maintaining JCI accreditation within a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards, patient safety frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
