Key Responsibilities:
- Support the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and design through to installation and commissioning.
- Design MCC and Switchgear electrical system architecture, specifying equipment such as motors, MCCs, instrumentation, and PLCs.
- Produce MCC and Switchgear electrical schematics, installation diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Deliver electrical designs for power, water, and wastewater projects in line with client requirements and relevant standards.
- Liaise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality and environmental procedures, as well as all health and safety regulations.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and technically capable individual with an interest in electrical engineering and the design of MCC and switchgear systems. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- A relevant qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar electrical design software.
- Good understanding of electrical design principles, schematics and engineering documentation.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project specifications and client requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in MCC and switchgear design is desirable.
- Experience within the water and wastewater industry is desirable.
