I am working with a well-established law firm in Belfast that is looking to strengthen its Dispute Resolution team with the appointment of a Solicitor with at least one year’s post-qualification experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a growing team, gaining exposure to an interesting and varied caseload involving property litigation, conveyancing disputes and financial services work.
You’ll work alongside experienced Partners and legal professionals, acting for an impressive client base that includes major lenders, financial institutions and large national and international businesses.

The Role
The position will primarily focus on property and conveyancing-related disputes, with a particular emphasis on acting for lenders and financial institutions in relation to the sale of recovered properties.
Alongside this, there will be opportunities to gain exposure to a broader range of real estate and commercial litigation matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing your own caseload of property and conveyancing-related disputes from initial instruction through to resolution.
Advising lender and financial institution clients on title defects, mortgage fraud, professional negligence and property transaction disputes.
Handling disputes arising from residential and commercial conveyancing transactions.
Investigating complex title issues and advising on appropriate litigation strategies.
Managing recovered property sale matters, ensuring files progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
Drafting pleadings, witness statements, legal correspondence and settlement documentation.
Assisting with negotiations, mediations and court proceedings where required.
Working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve commercially focused and pragmatic outcomes.
Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the Belfast team.
There is also scope to become involved in title rectification, financial services disputes and wider real estate litigation.
What They’re Looking For
The firm is keen to speak with Solicitors who have at least 1 year PQE and experience in Dispute Resolution, Litigation or Property Litigation.
Ideally, you will have:
A good working knowledge of the conveyancing process.
Experience managing property, conveyancing or related litigation matters.
The ability to manage your own workload and progress files independently.
Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
A commercially minded approach and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent client service.
The ability to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Experience dealing with recovered property sales on behalf of lenders or financial institutions would be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
The key requirement is a solid understanding of conveyancing and an interest in developing your experience within property-related litigation.
