This organisation is a leading global engineering group, operating across more than 60 countries many of which are emerging markets, non OECD jurisdictions. It delivers highly complex projects across the energy sector. The business is approaching a significant period of transformation following a major corporate transaction which will create one of the largest global businesses in its sector.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Tax Manager/Director to play a pivotal role in this transition, supporting the integration of international tax operations, the restructuring and alignment of legal entities, and the development of an effective tax operating model for the newly combined group.
You will be a proven international tax and transactions adviser with significant in-house experience. Exceptional business partner skills are required, you will be responsible for driving the agenda on multiple projects to ensure actions are being completed.
Key duties will include:
- Implementation of initiatives, getting ready for the completion of a major restructure, rewriting processes, updating trackers and SharePoint sites.
- Support in implementing corporate restructuring and financial restructuring to ensure external dividend commitments are met
- Defining and leading entity rationalisation strategy (including sourcing and writing up technical analysis)
- Reviewing balance sheets for tax inefficiencies, making recommendations, undertaking dividends etc as required
- Reviewing internal processes and working with teams to get them updated.
- Supporting on risk reviews and documentation.
