Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to support a NHS Trust in managing and coordinating a portfolio of digital projects and transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide structure, oversight and coordination across multiple digital workstreams, ensuring projects are aligned, key activities are joined up and delivery remains on track.

This is a delivery-focused project management role rather than a technical position. The Trust is looking for someone who can bring different teams and stakeholders together, establish clear plans and governance, identify delivery risks and provide the oversight needed to maintain momentum across a varied digital portfolio.

The individual will act as a central point of coordination across digital projects, helping to provide visibility of progress, manage dependencies and ensure workstreams are progressing towards agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project management oversight across multiple digital projects and transformation workstreams.
  • Establish clear project structures, plans, milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Bring together different teams and stakeholders to ensure activities are coordinated and aligned.
  • Monitor progress across workstreams, ensuring deliverables are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and potential delivery blockers.
  • Implement appropriate project governance, reporting structures and processes.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, highlighting areas requiring attention or escalation.
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops and stakeholder discussions, ensuring actions are captured and followed through.
  • Support the prioritisation of activities and resources across the wider digital portfolio.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with the Trust’s wider digital strategy and organisational objectives.
  • Provide confidence to senior stakeholders that projects are being actively managed and delivery is under control.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects or workstreams within a complex organisation.
  • Experience working within the NHS or wider healthcare environment, ideally within a Mental Health Trust.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance.
  • Ability to bring structure and organisation to projects that may involve multiple teams and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with senior management, clinical teams and operational colleagues.
  • Experience managing project plans, RAID logs, milestones, dependencies and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to identify delivery challenges early and proactively drive actions to resolve them.
  • Comfortable working across several projects simultaneously, maintaining visibility and control.
