Project Controls Manager – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead project controls for infrastructure programmes in London, ensuring accurate planning, cost and performance reporting. You will implement GRIP-aligned control processes and coordinate with the programme controller and planning teams. The role supports Programme and Project Managers with timely, data-driven insights to drive delivery. This is a hands-on position that shapes how major infrastructure projects are controlled and reported, contributing to successful outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project controls across London infrastructure projects and lead the programme controls function
• Establish and maintain GRIP-aligned control processes at territory/project level
• Review new proposals/remits to develop realistic delivery plans and resources
• Identify and coordinate resourcing with planning teams to resolve issues
• Provide day-to-day reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance
• Ensure data input to cost and performance systems meets standards
• Produce Investment Plan and ensure compliance with Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

• Experience in planning and scheduling: schedule development, control and analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications
• Experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
