Principal Software Engineer

Overview

In this Principal Software Engineer role, you will lead experienced engineering teams to deliver end-to-end digital products for client organizations. You will balance hands-on delivery with leadership, shaping strategy and ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes. The role combines client-facing account leadership with hands-on development across modern stacks and cloud platforms. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on value delivery and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead client accounts holistically—people, delivery, quality, and commercial aspects
• Mentor and grow team members and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Develop backend services across various integration paradigms (synchronous, message-driven, event-driven)
• Architect and deliver cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure
• Define product/service strategies and deliver repeatable, automated tests
• Promote value-focused, low-complexity solutions and advocate for best engineering practices
• Contribute to internal engineering communities and share knowledge across teams
• Adapt to different client domains and tech stacks to drive outcomes

Key requirements

• Significant experience leading teams and growing careers
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills with a results-oriented mindset
• Extensive backend experience across multiple integration paradigms
• Fluency in Java / C# / Python / TypeScript or React
• Recent experience building, deploying, and running cloud-native apps on AWS and/or Azure
• Experience defining strategies and delivering products/services using Agentic AI, with optional professional certification
• Experience in DevOps practices and automated testing
