Compliance Manager [Onboarding]

Overview

In this role you will lead onboarding compliance for FM operations across custodial sites, ensuring all personnel are vetted and cleared to work. You’ll act as the compliance gatekeeper to support safe, uninterrupted service delivery. You will collaborate with site teams and supply chain partners to manage security vetting across high-risk environments. This is an opportunity to shape compliant mobilisations and strengthen security culture within a critical operations context.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding compliance activities for FM staff, contractors, and supply chain partners
• Coordinate site-specific vetting and clearance for mobilisation
• Act as the compliance gatekeeper to prevent deployment without required clearance
• Manage end-to-end clearance tracking and submission/verification of records
• Maintain audit-ready onboarding documentation and support security/compliance audits
• Collaborate with Operations Managers and Site Teams to align clearance with service needs
• Ensure subcontractors meet vetting standards before site access and monitor ongoing compliance
• Provide reporting on clearance timelines, workforce readiness, and completion rates
• Deliver training on custodial vetting and promote safety and security awareness

Key requirements

• Experience in onboarding compliance, vetting, or mobilisation within FM, infrastructure, or operational environments
• Strong understanding of pre-employment screening (DBS, Right to Work, referencing)
• Experience in secure or regulated environments (prisons, healthcare, defence, critical infrastructure)
• Experience managing high volumes of onboarding
• Strong stakeholder management across operational and corporate teams
