I’m working with a specialist London wealth manager that advises HNW and UHNW families whose finances span more than one country, with particular depth in US/UK planning. They want to add an experienced Wealth Manager to lead a book of client relationships, backed by a dedicated planning team.
About the firm
- Close to 20 years in the market, with more than £4bn of client assets
- 1,000+ private clients, many with US tax ties, from families settled in Britain to households across the US, Europe and Asia
- Regulated in both the UK and the US, with custody in the US, the UK or offshore and portfolios in sterling, dollars or euros
- Research-led investment approach and a values-led culture with a strong sustainability focus
The role
- Act as lead adviser to a book of HNW and UHNW families, covering both planning and investments
- Advise on cross-border questions such as residency, tax, retirement, education and estate planning in both countries
- Grow the book through client referrals and professional introducers
- Run client reviews with a dedicated team that prepares cash-flow plans, reports and paperwork
- Oversee the advice letters and recommendations your team prepares
- Help develop the planners and executives who work with you
What you bring
- 5+ years advising HNW or UHNW clients at a wealth manager, private bank or advice firm
- Experience with US-connected or internationally mobile clients is a strong advantage
- A track record of winning new clients and deepening existing relationships
- A clear communicator who can turn tangled cross-border questions into a simple plan
Why this role
- Long-term relationships with complex, interesting clients in a specialist niche
- A planning team behind you, so your time goes on clients rather than admin
- Room to build your own client business, with a clear path to Senior Wealth Manager and partner
- Private healthcare, income protection, life cover, the option to buy extra holiday and a flexible, collaborative culture in Central London
