They operate locally, nationally and are a truly international brand. n Your career path will see you upskilled on new products and put through various courses that will make you more efficient in your role. n We are looking for a qualified and time served HGV Technician who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics. n You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained however is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first class service. n You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet. n You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV#s) refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers- n The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) n n n Routine (and preventative) maintenance n n MOT preparation n n Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards n n 6 (or 8) weekly inspections n n Correction of running defects n n Chassis and fabrication work n n Hydraulics and pneumatics n n Improvement of vehicle standards n n Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections n n Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. n Additional accreditations such as IRTEC would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or licence. n So what are you waiting for.
