AI Engineering Manager

Overview

In this role you lead multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and deliver production-grade AI solutions for complex environments, starting with healthcare. You act as a senior technical lead, shaping architecture, delivery, and governance while engaging with clients and senior stakeholders. You will drive scalable, secure AI systems using cloud platforms and modern AI tooling, focusing on real-world impact and responsible AI. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends engineering mastery with people management to deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering production-grade AI and ML solutions
• Own technical direction, architecture and engineering standards across AI projects
• Design and deliver solutions involving generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and agentic AI
• Establish robust model evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Drive high-quality engineering practices including Python development, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Design scalable cloud-based AI solutions on Azure or AWS with Docker/Kubernetes
• Work with large-scale, unstructured and multimodal datasets
• Embed responsible AI principles including security, privacy, ethics, and governance
• Build trusted client relationships and translate technical concepts into business outcomes
• Coach, mentor and develop engineers; contribute to project planning and new AI capabilities

Key requirements

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams delivering AI/ML solutions into production
• Strong technical leadership and architecture experience across AI engineering and software delivery
• Practical knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI and model evaluation
• Strong Python development skills and understanding of software engineering best practices
• Experience delivering AI solutions at scale on Azure or AWS with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with unstructured or multimodal data
• Understanding of responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance considerations
• Demonstrable experience mentoring technical teams and managing delivery
• Strong client-facing communication skills with senior stakeholders
