The Outage Planning Engineer will maintain plans during outage execution phase by updating progress, tracking critical path, building in and managing the impact of emergent work and identifying any errors / improvements required in the plan.
Working with Operations to check and revise plans to maintain Tech Spec and other compliance requirements and to maximise ‘Defence in Depth’
Play a role in post outage reviews, in particular by capturing all relevant OPEX from plan delivery and building the learning into future plans
Provide support to Lead Planner / Outage Co-ordinator
Identify and help to deliver outage optimisation opportunities
Support activities to deliver Pre Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for both statutory and off load refuelling outages
Essential
- HNC in engineering or relevant technical subject
- Knowledge of basic planning principles
- Able to coordinate across different teams and with different companies and contractors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Planning experience would be a distinct advantage, especially someone that has used Primevera P6
