Consulting Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead engineering practices across teams, shaping code review, build and release, and post-mortem retrospectives to raise software maturity. You will empower teams to automate scalable deployments in test and production environments, collaborating with leadership to drive cross-team solutions. As a people leader, you mentor engineers, foster continuous improvement, and attract top talent to the team. This position sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and operational reliability, helping the organization ship robust microservices and advanced observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own engineering practices across teams (code review, build/release, retrospectives)
• Empower teams to automate demand-driven, scalable deployments in test/production
• Collaborate with leadership to define technical solutions and drive software maturity
• Lead and mentor software engineering teams, including contractors, with a servant-leadership approach
• Nurture continuous engineering improvement via mentoring, feedback, and metrics
• Hire top engineering talent for the team

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience
• 5+ years of active engineering experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a complex technical environment
• Experience designing, creating, and deploying enterprise-grade assets with cross-platform integration in Agile contexts
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and iterative development
• Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in fast-paced environments
• Hands-on experience with automation testing and documentation (automated, functional, performance)
