About the Role
An established engineering and fabrication company based in Hillsborough is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join its team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ welding and fabrication experience, with the ability to work independently, interpret engineering drawings and produce high-quality work to specification.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson seeking stable, full-time employment with competitive hourly pay and an early finish every Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out welding and metal fabrication work to a high standard.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements and technical specifications.
- Measure, mark out, cut, prepare and assemble metal components.
- Complete welding, fitting and finishing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality requirements.
- Operate welding equipment, fabrication machinery and hand tools safely.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work independently and alongside colleagues to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant welding and fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong practical welding, fabrication and metalworking skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work.
Whats on Offer?
- £16.00£18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Consistent weekday working hours.
- Early finish every Friday at 2:00 pm.
