The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage subcontract procurement, tender comparisons, negotiations and package orders

  • Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cash flow forecasts

  • Monitor budgets, report costs and maintain accurate forecasts of final expenditureIdentify, price and agree variations with subcontractors and client representatives

  • Assess subcontractor applications and manage payments and final accounts

  • Work closely with the project team to identify commercial risks and resolve issues

  • Maintain clear records and build productive relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers

The Company

The business has nearly 30 years’ experience delivering high-quality private homes across London and the southern counties.

Its country-house division specialises in high-end refurbishments, heritage restoration, bespoke new builds and multi-phase estate projects. Working alongside architects, interior designers and specialist subcontractors, the team delivers technically demanding projects with exceptional finishes and close attention to detail.

What They’re Looking For

  • An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an established Quantity Surveyor ready to step up

  • Proven contractor-side experience with a main contractor or residential refurbishment specialist

  • A strong background in high-end, prime or super-prime residential construction

  • Ability to manage a project’s commercial requirements independently

  • Confident procurement, cost reporting, valuation and final account skills

  • Clear communication and a practical, collaborative approach

  • Ability to travel regularly to the project near Tunbridge Wells

What You’ll Get

  • £70,000-£80,000 salary, depending on experience

  • Commercial ownership of a substantial high-end refurbishment

  • Direct involvement with senior leadership

  • Potential involvement in a larger follow-on scheme and future regional projects
