Senior Product Manager

Company: Mirus
Apply for the Senior Product Manager
Location: Oxford
Job Description:

We’re partnering with a well-established healthcare technology and communications business, that connects the pharmaceutical industry with healthcare professionals.

They’re looking for a mid-weight Data Product Manager to bring some strategic focus to their data function and shape where their commercial data offering goes next.

This is a genuinely influential role, and it’s split across two areas.

1. Bringing order to the data team’s priorities

The data team’s backlog is long and everything feels urgent. They need someone who can look at it through a business strategy lens, decide what actually matters, and give the team a clear direction.

2. Building what’s next commercially

Right now nobody is dedicated to the pain points of pharma marketers or to inventing new commercial products. That’s where you come in. You’ll get close to clients, find the problems worth solving and turn them into products. Everything you create ultimately becomes a data product, so the two halves of the role feed each other.

The scope is global too. You won’t just be working on the UK business but across sister companies in the wider group. A data clean room project running now is a good example of the sort of cross-group work you’d be part of.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning data products end to end, from discovery and ideation through to delivery and beyond
  • Prioritising the data backlog against strategy, business goals and deadlines, and explaining the “why” behind those calls
  • Working with commercial and operations teams to pull out customer insight and turn it into compelling data stories
  • Gathering and analysing user data to define product specs, then validating that what gets built meets the need
  • Writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria that the data and engineering teams can run with
  • Supporting development and UAT where needed
  • Demoing and championing new features, internally and externally
  • Feeding learnings back into the wider product vision

The tech

The stack is Snowflake and Qlik. Qlik stays as the standardised front end, while AI tools are increasingly used for ad-hoc queries. So SQL is useful but not critical. What matters more is a strong conceptual understanding of data and how it creates value.

What they’re looking for

  • A mid-weight Product Manager with a strong commercial head, ideally with B2B and B2C experience
  • A track record of discovering, defining and launching profitable data products
  • Comfortable with Agile and Waterfall delivery in a commercial setting
  • A solid grasp of data warehousing concepts and how data drives business insight
  • A strong communicator who can influence across teams and confidently push back with senior stakeholders
  • Someone who isn’t afraid to ask “why?”
  • Genuine empathy for users and a drive to make their lives better
  • Experience in medical media or communications, or an understanding of pharma and the needs of doctors, is a bonus but not essential

What’s on offer

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Bonus scheme linked to personal and company performance
  • Private medical after probation
  • Staff discounts and discounted gym membership
