Investment Data Analyst – Finance

Overview

In this role, you will curate and interpret data from multiple vendors to support trading and investment decisions within a growing technology consultancy’s finance division. You will work with traders and quants to deliver data insights, visuals, and documentation, while shaping data systems and quality across platforms. The position offers the chance to impact data governance and tooling in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Newcastle. You will help bridge data needs with engineering and technology teams to drive scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and curate raw data from vendors and finance sources
• Collaborate with traders and quants to deliver data insights and visualisations
• Identify data needs and gaps across platforms
• Evaluate data quality for consistency, completeness and accuracy
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Technology teams to implement data systems and processes

Key requirements

• Advanced SQL
