Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain environmental conditions and critical building systems to the highest standard, carrying out PPM, reactive and breakdown work across mechanical systems including HVAC, hot and cold-water systems, and generators. You will fault-find using data and collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure quality service. Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on mechanical plant per site schedules and assets
• Complete reactive/breakdown tasks and identify improvement opportunities
• Submit all paperwork and ensure KPI/SLA compliance
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives
• Keep plant rooms secure and tidy
• Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site
• Ensure Permit to Work, safety procedures, PPE, and Method Statements/Risk Assessments are followed

Key requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Formally trained in mechanical engineering (HVAC, Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2
• Basic electrical knowledge is desirable
