Senior Network Architect

MRP Group has partnered with a leading global IT consultancy that are working with a client rolling out an Edge Hosting service across their factories globally, and they need a senior network architect to design how it connects securely into factory IT and OT environments.

6-12 months Contract, with potential extension.

Liverpool, hybrid – 2 days onsite.

The role:

• Own edge connectivity design across factory LAN/WAN, routing, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/NTP, management networks and secure remote access
• Create standard site integration blueprints and manage architecture exceptions
• Set resilience requirements for network paths, switching and uplinks
• Align the design with zero-trust principles and IT/OT security requirements
• Build network readiness and assurance checklists for factory deployment and migration

What they’re looking for:

• Strong LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewall and segmentation knowledge
• Experience designing secure connectivity for virtualised, containerised and edge platforms
• Ability to produce reusable network standards, HLD/LLD guidance and site-readiness criteria
• Strong stakeholder engagement across architecture, security, operations and site teams

Nice to have: manufacturing IT/OT architecture, IEC 62443 and NIST guidance, Azure Local, Dell, NativeEdge or Kubernetes experience, ServiceNow/SIAM integration.
