Senior QA Engineer

Overview

In this hands-on role, you will drive quality across business-critical trading applications by building automated tests and improving test strategy. You collaborate with developers, PMs, and end users to identify risks early and raise testability and release confidence. You will shape testing across API, UI, data validation, and end-to-end scopes, contributing to scalable QA practices in a technology-focused environment. Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, plans, cases, and procedures across functional, exploratory, integration, regression, API, UI, data validation, and end-to-end testing
• Build and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications and supporting services
• Partner with developers to improve testability, prevent defects earlier, and strengthen engineering practices
• Identify and communicate product, technical, and delivery risks clearly
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional design discussions
• Improve QA standards, tester practices, and release confidence
• Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• 8+ years of QA/SDET/quality engineering experience
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with UI automation, Playwright (Typescript)
• Proven track record building automated test frameworks for web apps
• Experience in API, UI, data testing or end-to-end automation
• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, version control, modern engineering practices
• Experience with Git and Jenkins
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of end-to-end electronic trade lifecycle and order management/execution systems (OMS/EMS) in financial environments
• Familiarity with financial instrument classes and order workflows
• Experience with FIX protocol and simulators is a plus
• Experience applying AI-assisted engineering tools in development processes
