Global Category Manager – Capex & Industrial Opex

Overview

In this Global Category Manager role, you will drive Industrial Capex/Opex procurement strategy and value creation for Pernod Ricard, with a focus on Capex investments and MRO activities. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Project teams to optimise cost, risk and asset lifecycle value across major capital projects. You will lead complex negotiations, governance, and supplier partnerships, embedding sustainable procurement practices. Responsibilities

• Execute the Group Sourcing Strategy for Industrial Capex investments and deliver value through procurement pillars (Fuel, Leverage, Protect)
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership optimisation across the Capex portfolio and align with global category strategies
• Lead the Global Capex Procurement Transformation, embedding best-in-class sourcing practices, governance, and capability development
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, contracting strategies, and supplier relationship management for high-value engineering, equipment, and construction packages
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Project teams to optimise cost, mitigate risk, and maximise asset lifecycle value from concept to handover
• Deliver procurement governance, compliance, and sustainable outcomes in line with Pernod Ricard policies
• Support major capital project delivery balancing commercial, operational, and strategic objectives to ensure value and continuity of supply
• Prioritise initiatives to maximise benefits and monitor category budget to drive cost reduction
• Execute category strategy with efficient category management and mature spending policies
• Identify, develop, and manage suppliers including negotiations and ensuring cost-effective Capex with technical alignment
• Manage supplier selection, base development, and ensure globally consistent contractual procedures
• Collaborate with suppliers to monitor performance and conduct annual reviews
• Act as strategic interface to suppliers to drive innovation and understand market dynamics
• Lead high-value procurements end-to-end and oversee contract management
• Collaborate to implement transversal ways of working across Pernod Ricard
• Liaise with Capex Managers and Technical Project Leaders to align procurement models
• Support definition of Capex functional targets and evaluate performance

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in Industrial Capex procurement, engineering, construction, or technical sourcing in a multinational manufacturing or industrial organisation
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and deliver measurable value through cost optimisation, supplier leverage, risk mitigation, and sustainable procurement
• Strong expertise in managing complex capital investment procurement activities including strategic sourcing, contractual management, and supplier performance improvement
• Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and global environments with Engineering, Operations, and Project stakeholders
• Comprehensive understanding of industrial contract frameworks and procurement governance (EPC, EPCM, MF1, Orgalim, NEC, FIDIC or equivalents)
• Experience contributing to procurement transformation programmes embedding governance and capability development
