Electrical Design Engineer | Cookstown| Hybrid, £35,000 – £50,000
Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Cookstown, is seeking a Electrica Design Engineer to join their team.

The Role
- Support the electrical engineering team across live projects, gaining hands-on exposure to design, testing, and commissioning
- Assist with the design and development of electrical systems, panels, and control equipment
- Work alongside senior engineers to build technical and practical skills
- Support fault-finding, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
- Assist with technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Progress through a structured development programme toward full engineering responsibility
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety and industry standards
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) design engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA systems and control system architectures.
- Experience producing electrical and control designs, including technical documentation and I/O schedules.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
