NEOS Engineering is working with a growing business to recruit a Sales Manager to cover the Dumfries area.This is a full-time, field-based position suited to someone with experience in heavy plant, construction machinery, commercial vehicles or the truck industry. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, building strong customer relationships and growing sales across your territory.We’re looking for someone who understands the industry, enjoys being out meeting customers and has the commercial drive to identify opportunities and turn them into sales.Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell machinery and equipment to customers across the region.
Develop relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
Visit customers on site to understand their requirements and recommend suitable equipment.
Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to negotiation and closing deals.
Build relationships with businesses across construction, plant hire, quarrying and related industries.
Keep up to date with local market activity, competitor products and potential sales opportunities.
Manage your own diary and customer visits to maximise opportunities across the territory.
Work towards sales targets and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
About You
Previous sales experience within heavy plant, construction machinery, commercial vehicles or the truck industry.
Good knowledge of machinery and equipment used across construction, plant hire or related sectors.
Confident building customer relationships and developing new business.
Commercially minded, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
Based in or within a commutable distance of Dumfries.
Full UK driving licence.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary of £37,000–£45,000, depending on experience.
1% commission on the selling price of equipment, excluding VAT.
28 days’ annual leave.
40-hour working week.
Field-based position covering the Dumfries area.
