Data Risk and Governance Analyst – AVP

Overview

As a Data Risk and Governance Analyst at Citi, you drive the rollout of enterprise data governance standards and monitor risk controls. You’ll collaborate with business and technology partners to ensure consistent data risk management across the organization. You help translate policy into practical processes and provide metrics to stakeholders, regulators, and governance forums. This role offers hands-on impact in shaping Citi’s data governance framework at scale.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze data-related issues, track ownership, target dates, and metrics/reporting
• Contribute inputs to In Business Risk and Controls materials in coordination with risk and controls teams
• Serve as point of contact on data risk topics with 2nd/3rd line of defense and regional teams
• Provide regional expertise on data control framework design, effectiveness, monitoring, and self-assessment
• Support rollout of enterprise data governance strategy, including new data risk taxonomy and KPI changes
• Prepare timely metrics for stakeholders and governance forums, highlighting progress, challenges, and corrective actions
• Contribute recommendations to enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures

Key requirements

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data governance or data management
• Strong project management skills across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Clear and confident communication across organizational levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
