This position would suit an experienced sales ledger clerk looking to step into a supervisory role, or an established team leader seeking a stable, structured Monday-to-Friday schedule within an established local employer.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Supervise daily sales ledger operations, manage individual workloads, and mentor team members.Invoice Generation & Billing: Oversee the creation and distribution of high-volume client invoicing, ensuring complex transport configurations (fuel surcharges, demurrage, waiting times) are accurately compiled.Systems: Bridge operational logistics data from the Transport Management System into the financial package.Credit Control & Debt Collection: Manage major client accounts, conduct complex data reconciliations, and handle escalated payment disputes professionally.Operational Liaison: Coordinate closely with transport planners, dispatchers, and depot managers to rapidly resolve billing queries and cross-reference Proof of Delivery (POD) details.Person Specification:Microsoft Office Expertise: Strong, proven competency across the MS Office suite, with good Microsoft Excel proficiency.Sales Ledger: Robust background in accounts receivable, ledger management, or structured credit control environments.Software & Systems: Prior exposure to financial software systems.
