The opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading global professional services and technology organisation to appoint a Global Data Architect to help shape and grow its international data and AI consulting proposition.
This is a senior, commercially focused architecture role sitting at the intersection of technology strategy, consulting and business transformation. You’ll work with senior stakeholders and clients to shape architectural direction, influence critical decisions and develop solutions that deliver measurable business value.
This is not a traditional architecture delivery role focused on implementation, engineering management or governance alone. Instead, it offers the opportunity to influence strategy, shape consulting propositions and help clients solve complex business problems through effective data and AI architecture.
The role
You will take a global perspective on data and AI architecture, helping develop the organisation’s consulting offering while supporting and mentoring architecture specialists across multiple regions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Global architecture strategy: Shape and evolve data and AI architecture propositions, ensuring they address real client challenges and deliver commercial value.
- Client consulting: Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenge assumptions and develop appropriate architectural solutions.
- Commercial leadership: Articulate the value of consulting propositions, communicate trade-offs and influence investment and architectural decisions.
- Data and AI architecture: Provide strategic direction across modern data platforms, analytical ecosystems, AI/ML architectures, model development and deployment, governance and associated technology capabilities.
- Stakeholder influence: Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes, building credibility with senior decision-makers.
- Global collaboration: Mentor regional architecture specialists, share expertise and help build consistency across international markets.
- Proposition development: Identify opportunities to enhance consulting services, support business growth and strengthen the organisation’s market offering.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in architects who combine technical credibility with strong consulting instincts and commercial awareness.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, AI architecture or a closely related discipline.
- A strong understanding of modern data platforms, analytical architectures and emerging AI capabilities.
- A consulting mindset, with experience shaping solutions and influencing decisions rather than simply delivering against an established design.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect technology decisions to measurable business outcomes.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, facilitating strategic discussions and communicating complex ideas clearly.
- Experience working across complex organisations, business transformation programmes or client-facing environments.
- The ability to learn new industries and business processes quickly, build relationships and influence across different teams and geographies.
- A genuine interest in the evolution of data and AI architecture, ideally demonstrated through personal projects, practical experimentation or continuous learning.
Experience in insurance or another regulated financial services environment would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
