Technical Business Analyst

Senior Technical Business Analyst | FinTech | Remote (UK) | Up to £70k + bonus

I’m working with a growing fintech that’s looking for a Senior Technical BA to join their team.

They have an established internal lending platform that’s now used by third parties too. There’s plenty still to build, and leadership backs technology-led change. You’ll work directly with the people you’re delivering for, so feedback is quick and impact is visible.

The role

• Work with business owners to get to the real problem, challenge assumptions and turn needs into clear specs
• Stay involved through delivery: daily contact with developers, 3 amigos sessions, and answering questions as they come up
• Write functional specs, user stories and acceptance criteria, plus process flows and data models
• Review API specs and write SQL to analyse and validate data
• Manage stakeholder expectations and help resolve competing priorities

What you’ll bring

• Experience gathering and documenting requirements in a software development environment
• Able to read and interpret API specs (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON) and comfortable testing APIs
• Proficient SQL and a solid grasp of relational databases and data modelling
• Agile delivery experience and strong attention to detail
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people
• Confluence and JIRA are used, but can be learned

The set-up

• Salary up to £70k plus discretionary bonus
• Remote, with roughly monthly visits to an office in the North West
• UK hours, working with a mix of UK-based and remote developers
