Site Manager – Motherwell – £65,000 + Car Allowance & BonusThe RoleThis Site Manager opportunity is with a well-established distribution business based in Motherwell, taking full ownership of both warehouse and transport operations across a busy logistics site.The business is looking for an experienced Site Manager who can lead from the front, develop strong operational teams and drive performance across service, compliance, productivity and cost.Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you’ll have overall responsibility for site performance, ensuring both warehouse and transport operations work effectively together while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong understanding of both disciplines, alongside a National Transport Manager CPC qualification.Key responsibilitiesTaking full operational responsibility for warehouse and transport functions across the siteLeading, coaching and developing warehouse and transport management teamsDriving performance across service, productivity, fleet utilisation and operational KPIsEnsuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, drivers’ hours and Working Time DirectiveManaging site budgets, labour planning and operational costsOverseeing warehouse performance across inbound, storage, picking and dispatchMonitoring fleet performance, vehicle availability and transport planning efficiencyMaintaining high standards of Health & Safety, compliance and operational governanceWorking closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to improve end-to-end operational performanceDriving Continuous Improvement initiatives across warehousing, transport and site processesKey experienceProven experience as a Site Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager or senior logistics leaderStrong operational background covering both warehouse and transport managementNational Transport Manager CPC qualification is essentialExperience managing sizeable operational teams within distribution, retail or 3PL environmentsStrong understanding of Operator Licence requirements and transport complianceExperience managing warehouse KPIs, labour productivity and operational performanceCommercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling operational costsDemonstrable success delivering Continuous Improvement across warehouse and transport functionsExperience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environmentA proactive, hands-on leadership style with strong communication and people management skillsThis Site Manager role in Motherwell offers a basic salary of £65,000, alongside a car allowance and performance-related bonus.An excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics leader to take genuine ownership of a busy distribution site and influence operational performance across both warehouse and transport functions.
