Business Support Manager

Overview

As Business Support Manager in Bristol, you will lead the Trust Investment Operations team and oversee EMEA custodial services and the local vault. You’ll drive strategic, regulatory, and risk initiatives while coordinating governance, reporting, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates across internal and regional partners to align with business objectives and ensure high operational performance. The opportunity combines leadership, process discipline, and a path to expanding Computershare’s UK corporate trust presence.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce processing and compliance standards across the team
• Lead staff, develop reports and tools for monitoring account administration
• Coordinate with partners to resolve escalated issues
• Foster a high-engagement, accountable workforce with clear communication
• Build strong relationships with local and regional partners and internal managers
• Create a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, profitability, service, and risk reduction
• Oversee diverse support functions within a single business group, including policy administration, change initiatives, and risk-related activities
• Develop talent through coaching, attracting, motivating, and retaining employees, and provide ongoing feedback
• Support policy/procedure adherence, business continuity, regulatory alignment, SLA development, and budgeting
• Manage project funding, pipeline, process improvement, and quality management

Key requirements

• Experience in business support, project management, implementation, operations, or strategic planning in financial services
• Corporate trust, financial services, and/or risk and regulatory compliance experience
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and influence change
• Ability to develop partnerships across business functions
• Risk management and mitigation experience
• Leadership through coaching and mentoring
• Account reconciliation experience
• Ability to interact with all organizational levels
• Change leadership experience
• Working knowledge of SEI Trust 300 accounting system (or similar), corporate actions, securities setup/movement/settlement desirable
