Overview

As a Field Engineer with VodafoneThree, you will support fixed and mobile networks and Vodafone business solutions through installation and maintenance activities. You will work across indoor and outdoor environments, including rooftop sites, and participate in a 24/7 callout rota. Your role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting performance targets while enabling large-scale connectivity across the country. This is a hands-on, field-facing position with real impact on national network outcomes. You will join a team focused on delivering reliable, scalable connectivity and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fixed and mobile network infrastructure and Vodafone business solutions
• Climb and work on extensive infrastructure, including rooftop sites
• Adhere to health and safety and quality standards; meet performance targets
• Be flexible with hours and travel as needed
• Participate in a 24/7 callout rota or shift pattern
• Work both collaboratively and independently; lone-working capability
• Handle physical tasks such as lifting, stairs, and long periods on your feet

Key requirements

• SC clearance eligible (residency in the UK for past 5 years demonstrated)
• Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience
• Multi-vendor CPE knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, ADVA) and core transmission tech (DWDM, Ethernet)
• Mobile networking knowledge (3G/4G/5G) and related equipment
• Microwave Radio; fibre and copper cabling termination
• Switch and field DC power systems; basic IT literacy
• Valid UK/EU driving license (Category B)
• Excellent customer-facing skills
• Ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance and Advanced Climber/Tower Rescue certification
• Ability to work under pressure and manage own workload
