Conveyancing Lawyer at Velvet Law

Velvet Law is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join their in-house legal team in Battersea, London. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on managing residential and commercial property transactions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 3-5 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• UK Qualified.
• Strong background in property law (residential and/or commercial).
• Proven experience handling a high-volume caseload.
• Commutable distance to Battersea, SW11.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions.
• Conduct title checks, property searches, and due diligence.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.
• Provide administrative and legal support to partners and fee earners.
• Assist in post-completion matters, including registration and stamp duty submissions.

Compensation & Mode

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:30pm.
• Type: Full-time, Office-based.
