Job Description £140 per day PAYE 37 hours per week | Monday–Friday Office/Depot Based – Rugby 6-month contract Start: 5 October 2026 n Lynx Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Waste & Fleet Training Compliance Officer to support a busy operational waste and fleet service. n This is a hands-on role combining driver training and coaching with fleet compliance and competency management . You’ll work directly with drivers, loaders, street cleansing operatives and other frontline staff, helping ensure training, licences, assessments and competencies remain compliant and up to date. n Key responsibilities include: n n Maintaining the operational training and competency matrix n Monitoring licence checks, qualifications, certificates and refresher dates n Delivering driver training, coaching and assessments n Conducting vehicle familiarisation and walk-round check training n Coaching drivers to improve standards and reduce accidents n Supporting Operator Licence and DVSA compliance n Monitoring tachograph infringements and providing corrective coaching n Carrying out gate checks, crew monitoring and route compliance activity n Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and refresher training n Maintaining accurate, audit-ready training and compliance records n Identifying training requirements following incidents, audits or performance concerns n n Essential: HGV Class 2 / Category C licence or above Experience within waste operations, fleet or a similar operational environment Previous training/coaching experience or significant relevant driver experience Experience maintaining training matrices and competency records Good understanding of DVSA, Operator Licence and Health & Safety compliance NEBOSH General Certificate/equivalent, or IOSH membership/working towards itn A Driver Assessor qualification , Driver CPC Instructor, Transport Manager CPC, WAMITAB or similar qualification would be advantageous. n Hours are generally around 8am–4pm , with flexibility required to accommodate operational training. n If you have a strong HGV/waste background and enjoy developing drivers while keeping fleet operations safe and compliant, we’d like to hear from you. n Lynx Employment Services Ltd 0330 1755 785 Celebrating 25 Years | Est. 2001 #RugbyJobs #HGVJobs #FleetCompliance #WasteManagement #DriverTrainer #DriverAssessor #TransportJobs #WasteJobs #FleetJobs #LynxEmployment n n JBRP1_UKTJ
