The purpose of this role is to support delivery across the Risk, Governance and Assurance Programme, giving ExCo full line of sight and reliable evidence that the organizations end-to-end risk profile is understood, and being managed, governed and assured in line with expectations.
You will be working as a risk management SME and need to have strong inter-personal and relationship management skills at all levels of the organisation. You will use your skills and professional expertise to become a trusted and sought after Business Partner and risk management advisor on all aspects of risk management, governance, compliance and control.
You will develop methods of feedback and reporting to demonstrate continuous improvement in respect of the businesses management of risk and the implementation of control strategies.
You will play an integral part in the successful delivery of the programme which is an integral means of advancing the risk management maturity.
As a core member of the programme team, you will be expected to take full responsibility for the following principal accountabilities:
- Validate findings, obligations and residual exposure with SMEs. Prioritise serious gaps and urgent mitigations.
Control Design
- Define risk-area action plans, control and governance requirements, with clear ownership, evidence, escalation and monitoring schedules.
Delivery Partnership
- Work with the Programme Lead, Business Analysts and OE specialists to address the deliverables of the programme in a structured and coherent manner, working at pace but with accuracy and attention to detail. Coach owners and coordinate SME-led implementation.
Escalation And Acceptance
- Report delivery issues and control failures. Track remediation and prepare risk-owner acceptance packs.
